Designed to fill products with more
financial and environmental benefits
The innovative SmartPack packaging concept provides major environmental
and operational benefits for those involved in handling and distribution of a
wide range of foodstuffs, bulk products and commodities.
The SmartPack system comprises of an advanced plastic double layer inner, at the
cutting-edge of structural design and a rugged biodegradable
corrugated outer. It offers a modern alternative to traditional rigid plastic containers.
Using far less material it will lessen the environmental damage of a company s economic
activities and the packaging it uses. This will have a positive impact on the earth s finite
resources and help companies meet the ever-tightening packaging regulations.
It will also reduce logistical costs, as SmartPack folds flat when not in use. This means
less space is required for warehousing and transportation. It also means that fewer
deliveries are required, further reducing its carbon footprint.
SmartPack is easy to handle on the filling line as the inner is standalone and squares-up
when filled, without relying on external packaging to stay in shape. When combined with
it s corrugated outer it is also easy to palletise and distribute. |

SmartPack corrugated outers are manufactured in high grade fluted carton board.
They are individually designed to match the inner, with a collapsible locking system
that makes them easy to handle and store. |
  |
|
|
| SmartPack s are supplied in 5 sizes, from 5 25 litres and are available manufactured in different
materials to suit a variety of applications. They conform to the requirements of the Foods standards
Agency and could meet UN group 2 and 3 regulations for hazardous goods. SmartPack barrier bags are
produced in ISO 8 certified clean room conditions. |

Unlike standard bulk
containers, SmatPack s
corrugated outer lends itself
to all types of printing and
branding options. It can be
produced as a plain brown
or white carton, which can
be left`" blank or simply
labelled. They can also be
inexpensively flexo printed |
in one or more colours with
lettering, logos and line
illustrations. When
circumstances demand it,
they can be printed and
laminated in glorious full
colour, to the very highest
standards, creating striking
wholesale and bulk retail
branded products. |

SmartPack s unique ability to be stored flat when
not in use, means big savings in warehousing and
shipping costs. A 40-foot trailer, for example,
can carry 46,800 empty 20-litre SmartPack
containers, which far exceeds the apacity of
around 2500 per trailer for the same size standard
jerry can. Thus reducing lorry journeys from 18 to
just one, offering massive savings and a significant
reduction in the transit carbon footprint. The flat
pack outer offers similar advantages. |
  |
|
 |
SmartPack also offers superb stacking ability when palletised. Due to their rectangular
shape they fit efficiently onto standard pallets, to create a closely packed stable load
and greatly reducing the lorry journeys and storage space required. |
